Welcome to the headquarters of the 2nd Annual Heartland Knitting Retreat to be held December 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 2006 at the Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan Wisconsin. This year’s retreat is going to be spectacular The fun begins on Friday December 1st with dinner and a pajama party featuring seated massages by the resort staff . On Saturday we will be learning Aran sweater techniques, the secrets of a knitted hexagon, spinning with a drop spindle and enjoy a stash enhancement opportunity at the retreat market. Sunday morning we will enjoy a yarn tasting. The cost of this terrific weekend is $550.00 for a single room and $475.00 for double occupancy. A Saturday Only Day Trip option is now available on a limited basis for $160.00 This option does not include overnight accommodations at the resort but includes all other Saturday activities. A brief history... My inspiration for this terrific weekend is my weekly get together with my Thursday evening knitting group. Normally you will find us at the Barnes & Noble at the corner of Washington and Chicago Avenue in beautiful downtown Naperville, Illinois. We gather upstairs in the Starbucks around a group of tables armed with cups of tea and coffee we share our current projects, finished objects, great new yarn finds and weekly stories.
